The challenge

OSLO came to us as a new brand and a new concept for the Irish market, launching as a destination beauty and skincare location on Mespil Road, Dublin 4.  The OSLO ambition is for the brand to become an extended, luxury lifestyle brand through which a range of related services, products and experiences can be launched over time.  The name OSLO had already been chosen


The work

Through brand workshops, extensive market research and market analysis we began a deep-dive creative process. The brand mark is inspired by the Scandinavian design philosophy: form follows function.  With this in mind, we handcrafted the brand mark to be functional, clear and elegant.  It comprises a bespoke, handcrafted logotype that has become a signature for quality, consistency and innovation in the luxury health and beauty market.  It is designed to facilitate brand growth and product extension, while maintaining a contemporary, understated character that reflects the consistently high standards associated with the brand.

OSLO is a lifestyle choice, delivered consistently through the experiences and services provided by the brand. Essentially, it always represents effortless and timeless luxury at every touchpoint across the salons.


The impact

OSLO has grown rapidly since its launch in 2016 and is now a recognised health and beauty brand with 3 unique locations in Dublin - Mespil Road, Ranelagh and Arnotts department store.  As per the original brand ambition, the business has expanded and now includes OSLO Beauty - luxury hair and beauty salons and OSLO Health - health and wellness studios providing Yoga and Pilates in custom-built studios.  We continue to work with the brand owners delivering thoughtful and considered solutions for this brand as it plans further expansion into new products and experiences.
